Effective networking is a critical driver of career progression, access to opportunities, and leadership advancement. Research shows that professional networks provide social capital that influences hiring, promotion, and visibility; however, women often have more limited access to influential networks and may experience networking as exclusionary or uncomfortable, particularly in male-dominated sectors (Ibarra, 1993; Seibert, Kraimer and Liden, 2001).

This workshop is designed to demystify networking and reposition it as a strategic, purposeful career skill rather than a transactional or informal activity. Participants will develop practical, evidence-based strategies to build authentic professional relationships, expand their networks with intention, and leverage connections to support career goals. The session focuses on confidence-building, visibility, and maintaining meaningful professional relationships, equipping women graduates with tools to network effectively and sustainably in contemporary workplaces
